Thriving Pink, in collaboration with the UC Davis Women's Cancer Care and Research (WeCARE) Program, is proud to announce a free educational and research event focused on breast cancer and nanoplastics, taking place Saturday, October 10, 2026 in Davis, CA.

Are you a breast cancer survivor? You're invited to stay after the program to take part in a nanoplastics research study with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. Study follows presentation at 11:30 AM. As a thank-you for your participation, you'll receive a $25 Amazon gift card.

Making complex science simple and useful. This program will teach the community how to take "Nano Steps to Reduce Exposures" to nanoplastics, a growing environmental health concern that has received increasing attention from scientists. The event offers an opportunity for community members to learn directly from experts about practical steps to reduce exposure to these tiny particles.

"We are excited to bring this important information and research opportunity to our community," said Denise Rose, Board Chair of Thriving Pink. "Understanding the connection between environmental exposures and breast cancer is important for prevention. This event gives people useful knowledge they can use every day."

Additional events are scheduled for November 7, 2026 in Woodland (en Español) and January 2027 in West Sacramento, bringing this important health information to more communities across the region.
